Statement
In life there is a drive to find the single, pleasant, underlying truth of something. That truth is captured within my art pieces to share it with you, the viewer. The truth may be as simple as a shadow following the movements of the article casting it. The shadow isn't needed for the object to be complete, yet the image is completed by its presence. It is pure, without judgement.
My work represents the simplicity of the things you look past everyday as part of the overall. They are there, and, lacking them, you would be displaced. With these details, the obscure and the subtle become lucid.
I detest initial, judgemental perceptions and wish to remove those by allowing you the ability to see the subject as it truly is, not just how it appears to be. By working, playing and living, the simple beauties of life come through those interactions. While viewing or interacting with the pieces I have produced, it is hoped you find more than when you started.
I express thoughts and ideas through a combination of sculpture and installation art with an underlying cohesive theme. My current works concentrate primarily of kinetic and interactive sculptures enhanced by electronics to achieve stimulation of all senses. Look around this site and enjoy yourself. Works produced at my Southern California studio come in three sizes: Small (for home and personal enjoyment ), Medium (temporary installations for special events meshed with electronics as well as sculptures incrporating electronics) and Large (permanent art in public places).
